AR Distribution
Specialist products. Musical understanding.
Supporting the UK bowed string community since 2001, we stock professional products for music retailers, luthiers and stringed instrument workshops.
Our range includes strings, rosins, bows, bow hair and instrument accessories for violin, viola, cello and double bass — backed by practical product knowledge and approachable support.
Our roots as musicians
AR Distribution is a specialist UK trade distributor of products for bowed orchestral stringed instruments. Founded by Allyxa Ruby, we have been trading since 2001.
We choose our range with the needs of players, teachers and the music trade in mind. Working closely with specialist makers and our customers helps us understand the products we supply and offer useful guidance.
A cellist’s perspective. A teacher’s understanding.
Allyxa plays the cello and holds a master’s degree in Practical Bowed Strings Teaching. Her musical and teaching background helps shape how we assess products, answer technical questions and work with manufacturers and trade customers.
