Who can open a trade account?

We supply luthiers, workshops, and music retailers. If you’re new to trade purchasing, apply here.

How quickly will my order ship once approved?

For in-stock items we typically dispatch within 48 hours (UK). You’ll receive tracking on dispatch. If anything is back-ordered we’ll confirm options with you.

Which brands do you distribute?

Which shipping services do you use?

We use reliable tracked services domestically and internationally. Service options will be confirmed when we process your order.

What happens if an item is out of stock?

We’ll let you know the ETA and offer alternatives where appropriate. You can split shipments or hold for complete delivery—your choice.

Warchal Strings — Care & Technical

How fast do strings settle after fitting?

Expect quick settling with a few retunings early on; full tonal development comes after some playing time. For synthetic cello strings, tune with the pegs (not fine tuners) during the initial settling period.

What’s the recommended way to clean strings?

Wipe strings with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth after playing. Avoid alcohol or abrasive methods that can damage windings.

Can certain E strings help reduce “whistling”?

Many players find that specific E string designs reduce whistling on susceptible instruments. Choice of E can also adjust brightness and feel—ask your luthier for instrument-specific advice.

Which set should I choose?

Returns & Warranty

Can I return strings that have been installed?

Installed strings can’t be resold as new. If there’s a fault, contact us with details—we’ll assess and advise next steps.

What’s covered under warranty?

Manufacturing defects are handled case-by-case with the brand. Share photos/notes and your order details so we can help quickly.
