Sandrine Raffin developed the rosin to meet the demands of leading French string players, drawing on her experience as a violin and bow maker at Raffin et Associés in Paris.
Rather than offering separate formulas for violin, viola and cello, the range uses one carefully tuned blend intended to support all three instruments.
SR2 Walnut & SR3 Beech
SR2 — Walnut
A curved walnut case with a magnetic sliding closure that secures the rosin block as the case closes.
SR3 — Beech
A straight beech case using the same magnetic closure system. As beech is a natural material, colour and grain will vary from case to case.
