Two formulas, two distinct responses
Artist Reserve is not simply a variation of an existing CECILIA formula. Prima and Divinum have been developed as two different musical responses for players looking for an especially refined connection between bow and string.
Tonal transparency
Prima
Prima is designed to reveal the instrument’s natural tonal character with greater clarity and openness, without adding an artificial edge. The emphasis is on a pure, focused response that follows the player’s intention naturally.
Power with refinement
Divinum
Divinum builds on the tonal refinement of Prima with a dedicated Performance Core. When greater bow pressure is used, the core provides additional grip and power while retaining a smooth release and controlled feel.
Designed to be kept
Artist Reserve also introduces a different approach to the physical rosin itself. Rather than treating the holder as disposable, the precision-engineered base is designed to remain with the musician while the rosin can be renewed or changed.
A new expression within the CECILIA range
CECILIA rosins are developed by violinist and maker Peter Bahng in the United States. Artist Reserve sits alongside the established CECILIA collection as a new expression focused on clarity, controlled traction and refined response.
